Walter Kelly

Principal

It is my pleasure and privilege to serve the students, teachers and families of Highland Park High School as Principal. Before my service at Highland Park, I taught science and served as principal of three other schools including Telluride High School and Telluride Middle School, Richardson West Junior High and Lake Highlands High School.  I also serve as Co-Chair of the Principals’ Center Advisory Board of the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

I relish the opportunity to see our students in class, on the stage, on the court and on the field, as I am inspired daily with the abilities and work of our students. Beyond my work, my wife is an elementary administrator and my son is an HPISD 3rd grader.
