Preparing for College
The Personal Counselor is committed to providing intervention and resources to students, parents, faculty and staff to strengthen the educational process for students who are experiencing any personal issue that may interfere with his/her academic success.
Support groups are offered for students dealing with stress/anxiety, grief, and those who are new to HPISD. Please contact Dr. Conner for more information at email@example.com or (214) 780-3744.
Wellness Check Up/Teen Screen
HPHS conducts a wellness checkup (Teen Screen) annually for our ninth grade students. This is a confidential health screening program developed by Columbia University to identify teens who may suffer from depression, anxiety, and/or other emotional issues and, if necessary, to help parents connect their children with professional health resources. Parents of 9th grade students receive an E-Blast in late October/early November with more details and a link for granting permission for their child to participate.
Please contact Dr. Conner for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org or (214) 780-3744.
