Where can I learn about how things are done at HPHS?
The Kiltie , our student and parent handbook, is full of all sorts of useful information about the school. You'll find an online version in the About HPHS section of this Web site.
Browse the rest of the site for specifics on events, faculty, courses, extracurricular activities, the PTA and much more.
Who do I call when my son/daughter will miss school or when I have other questions about attendance?
The HPHS Attendance Offices are ready to help with all of your attendance questions.
Brooke Scott works with students with last names A-G. Ms. Scott may be reached at 214-780-3723.
Lisa Henly works with students with last names H-N. Ms. Henly may be reached at 214-780-3710.
Lynn Boyer works with students with last names O-Z. Ms Boyer may be reached at 214-780-3714.
Of course, all of these ladies are more than willing to assist any student, regardless of his/her alphabetical designation!

Where do I park if I am visiting the school?
There are a number of marked visitor spots directly in front of the school on Emerson. This parking is designed to be for relatively short visits. If you are staying a bit longer (or if the visitor spots in front of the school are all taken), we ask that you go to the school parking garage and ask one of the security guards to direct you to a spot. Chances are you will get a nice, shaded spot on the first floor of the parking garage!
What do I do when someone parks in my assigned parking spot?
Just about all parking spaces at HPHS are assigned. If someone parks in your assigned space, please go to the first floor of our parking garage and notify a garage security officer. They will then direct you to a parking spot you may use for the day or until otherwise notified.
Please provide the spot number and license plate number of the offender's car to the security guard. It is important that you also report this information to Brooke Scott in G150. Her phone number is 214-380-3723 and email is scottb@hpisd.org
Please report all violations. DO NOT block the offender's car in or park your car in a space assigned to another car. This would just compound the problem.
