The Highland Park High School Department of Mathematics bases its vision of mathematical literacy on the educational goals and expectations of the community as reflected in the Strategic Plan.

The department strives to develop mathematical literacy that extends beyond foundational competencies by equipping students with the critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills needed for success in college, careers, and an evolving technological world. Through rigorous coursework and meaningful learning experiences, students are prepared to pursue their educational goals, meet the challenges of tomorrow, and become leaders in their future professions.
