Teacher Profile
Hello! My is Tyler Perring, and I'm excited to start my 10th year in education and 4th at Highland Park. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Harding University. Over my 10 years of teaching, I have taught middle school theatre, middle and high school choir, high school band, and technical theatre in addition to leading 4 different theatre programs. Theatre has been a passion of mine since my first performance at the age of 6 in A Christmas Carol as Tiny Tim at our local community theatre. This passion for performing and sharing stories continued to grow as my skill improved. Now, with over 50 shows under my belt, both directing and performing, I can say this is a love affair that will last my whole life. While living in Oklahoma I was a frequent performer at Upstage Theatre and their summer series in the park, and in Dallas I have worked with Garland Summer Musicals for multiple productions.
