Rachael Newsom
Before coming to HP, Rachael graduated with a B.A. in Spanish from Austin College. There, she pursued opportunities to study abroad in Mexico, Argentina, and Spain as well as volunteering for English language educational programs in Mexico and Costa Rica. She was awarded a Global Outreach Fellowship (2016), a Summer Research Fellowship (2017), and a Global Citizen Award (2018) from her undergraduate university. After graduating, Rachael lived and taught English in Badajoz, Spain for a year. In 2021 she graduated with her M.A. in Hispanic Southwest Studies from the University of New Mexico where she was also a teaching assistant and supervisor in the Spanish Second Language Program.
