Teacher Profile
Greetings! My name is Amy Brown, and I'm thrilled to say this is my 11th year teaching in Texas.  I grew up on different military bases across the US until my family settled in Texas and I have loved being here ever since. I  graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English Composition from the University of North Texas. I continued my studies and received a Bachelors of Arts and Science in Communications for Dallas Baptist University and then achieved my Master of Innovation and Technology in Education from Capella University.  I have taught English at every level, College Prep, Testing Remediation, Professional and Business Communication, Student Leadership, and Student Council as well as coached volleyball, softball, and track.  This year, I am excited to be at Highland Park High School as the Campus Instructional Technologist. Technology in the classroom is a passion of mine. It can support the teacher and the students in a way that helps everyone in the class grow. Educational Technology helps students prepare for the future and think creatively to accomplish their goals. Currently, I live in McKinney with my husband, Eric, and our twin boys (Jeremiah  and Joshua).  I enjoy running, Krav Maga, cooking, reading, watching movies (especially Harry Potter), and spending time with my family.
