Isabel Chaltas

Teacher Profile

 

Hello! My name is Isabel Chaltas and I am very excited to be a Scot again! After graduating from Highland Park I received my Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and my Master of Arts in Secondary Mathematics Education from Relay Graduate School of Education in Denver, Colorado. I have taught in many levels over the last 5 years. I taught Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus AB in Denver public schools for 4 years and then had the amazing opportunity to teach 2nd grade for a year. I look forward to jumping back into Highland Park events like baseball games and chaperoning school dances. 

I decided I wanted to be a teacher in 7th grade because of my amazing math teacher, and I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to teach my favorite subject here at HP!
