The Highlander Band was named best in class 5A, sweeping all the 5A Caption awards for best music, best visual performance, best percussion, and best color guard. The band came away with a silver medal coming in 2nd place over all at the Mesquite Marching Festival this past weekend! The HPDL won the North Texas Drumline contest in small division for the third consecutive year! The Drum Line also took home the honors of "Best Front Ensemble"
