Profile I am so glad to be a part of Highland Park ISD! I started teaching at Highland Park HS in the Fall of 2020. After I graduated from Plano East High School, I went to the University of Oklahoma and Louisiana State University obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in Business Finance with a concentration in Commercial Banking. I then owned a Financial Planning franchise of American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise Financial) in New Orleans, LA. After Hurricane Katrina, I sold my business and moved back to the Dallas area where I worked for a Debt Settlement company and a lawfirm settling debt. I then started my teaching career educating 7th graders at Marsh Middle School in Dallas ISD for 3 years, where I was the head coach of Baseball and an assistant in Football. I then moved on to South Garland High School where I taught Algebra I and Precalculus for 5 years. I also was the Head Baseball coach and assistant for football. My absolute favorite part of teaching is seeing kids learn and apply their new skills and building great relationships!
