Jack Garner
Greetings! My name is Jack Garner, and I’m thrilled to be here at Highland Park High School. This is my ninth year teaching. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in History. I continued my studies through Arizona State University where I received a Master of Arts in History. In my collegiate studies, I primarily focused on American history, specifically the American Revolution and Civil War. I have taught a variety of classes throughout my career. I have taught World History, US History. I have also taught AP US History, AP European History, and Dual Credit US History through Collin College. Alongside teaching, I’ve sponsored and coached multiple groups, such as Academic Decathlon, UIL Social Studies and Current Events. I live in Rockwall with my wife and son. I enjoy watching the Dallas Stars, playing disc golf, reading, and spending time with family. I look forward to the school year and am glad to be a Scot!
