HPISD will continue to closely monitor weather reports and travel conditions on area roads throughout the day today. As always, our top priority is to keep our students and staff safe, including when they travel to and from school. In the event of inclement weather, the decision on whether to close or delay the opening of schools will be announced through the following outlets:
- HPISD text message alert system
- HPISD email notification to parents and staff
- Announcement on www.hpisd.org
- Posts on the district's Facebook page and Twitter feed
- A recorded message on the HPISD main switchboard (214-780-3000).
- Please remember to call this main number, not the campuses.
- The district will also inform television and radio stations.
- They share such information at their discretion.

Any changes and/or cancellations to after-school events and/or activities including programs offered through Academy for Lifelong Learning will be posted on the HPISD Event Cancellation webpage as they are received.
