CONGRATULATIONS to our amazing HP Drumline for a fantastic performance at the Lone Star Classic Drumline Competition last Saturday! HPDL took 5th place overall for their division in a very competitive lineup.
A HUGE shout-out as well to the two HPDL musicians who competed in Lone Star solo competitions, both of whom came home with gleaming hardware: For her riveting marimba solo, Chiara Shawver earned a Bronze medal in keyboards; Graham Longhofer left the competition in the dust, taking first-place Gold for a jaw-dropping performance of “Automatic. Still is.”— his own composition for the tenor/ quad drums.
CONGRATS to the entire HPDL and Percussion Director “Coach” Murphy for their stellar efforts!!!
