The Highlander Band brought home the silver medal from the UIL 5A State Marching Band Contest yesterday at the Alamodome in San Antonio, its highest finish ever.
The Highland Park Scots tennis team defeated San Antonio Alamo Heights 10-1 on Thursday to capture the 2019 UIL 5A team tennis state championship.
The HPHS Academic Decathlon team brought home the first-place team trophy from the Rockwall Invitational Meet Oct. 26 with a team score of 31,468.6 points.
The HPHS Student Council began the third year of promoting its district-wide campaign, Project Respect. Each month, Student Council visits with fourth-graders to discuss a different theme.
Under Texas Education Code §29.916, school districts are required to allow home schooled students the opportunity to participate in the Advanced Placement (AP) testing that each district provides enrolled students.
Class of 2020 senior tribute ad sales will begin September 3-20. Senior tribute meetings will be held in the Plaid Room. Senior parents, please enter through the main entrance of the building to the reception desk to access the Plaid Room. Traffic flow, parking, drop-off and pickups will be impacted by construction for the 2019-2020 school year. Safety is the number one priority at HPHS. During the ongoing construction, we ask that everyone take a little extra time when arriving and picking up students at HPHS.
