My Profile
Greetings! My name is Amy Brown, and I'm thrilled to say this is my 14th year teaching in Texas.  I grew up on different military bases across the US until my family settled in Texas and I have loved being here ever since. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English Composition from the University of North Texas. I continued my studies and received a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Communications from Dallas Baptist University and then achieved my Master of Innovation and Technology in Education from Capella University.  I have taught English at every level, College Prep, Testing Remediation, Professional and Business Communication, Student Leadership, and Student Council as well as coached volleyball, softball, and track. This is my fourth year at Highland Park High School as the Campus Instructional Technologist. Technology in the classroom is a passion of mine. It can support the teacher and the students in a way that helps everyone in the class grow. Educational Technology helps students prepare for the future and think creatively to accomplish their goals. Currently, I live in McKinney with my husband, Eric, and our twin boys (Jeremiah and Joshua).  I enjoy running, Krav Maga, cooking, reading, traveling, watching movies (especially Harry Potter), and spending time with my family.
