Profile
Salve! I have been teaching at Highland Park High School since 2008. Since joining the faculty, I have taught various levels of Latin including Latin I, I PAP/Honors, 2 PAP/Honors, and 3 PAP/Honors. I also teach a condensed Latin 3 PAP summer class. My teaching philosophy can best be summarized by the Roman poet Accius, “Probae esti in segetem sunt deteriorem datae fruges, tamen ipsae suaptae enitent” which translates as “A good seed, planted even in poor soil, will bear rich fruit by its own nature." I believe that exceptional teachers are those that plant “good seed(s)” through their dedication, innovation, and the promotion of excellence in achievement for all students.
