Teacher Profile
2022 marks my third year as a returning HP Scot English teacher and I could not be more excited! As a graduate of Highland Park High School, I look forward to serving the school and community that shaped me. I graduated from Texas A&M University with my Bachelors in English and Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I taught honors, talented and gifted, and standard English in the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District in Houston for six years before returning home to HP. It feels so good to back! I believe that literature is important, but that relationships between student and teacher are the catalyst for any educational foundation. My goal is to mold young minds to think critically, engage kindly, and deepen personal connections. A teenager's voice is important, and I cannot wait to be one of the first to hear from them. It is an immense privilege to be your teacher. I couldn't love this job more if I tried. Welcome to Miss Wilson's English class!
