To qualify for membership in the HPHS chapter, students must:
  • have earned a commended score on the most recent STAAR math test.
  • be currently enrolled in a Pre-Calculus, Calculus or Statistics course at Highland Park High School and have a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher in high school level math courses (i.e., Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, etc.) (For students who took some of these courses at the middle school, grades for those courses will be used to calculate the cumulative math GPA. )

To maintain membership, students must continue to be enrolled in math courses beyond the Pre-Calculus level during all semesters of high school, as well as maintain GPA and conduct requirements that were necessary to become members.
